Terms of Service and License

Last updated October 19, 2026

These terms apply to your use of the logicalvue.com web site and of software from LogicalVue Software ("LogicalVue", "we" or "us"), including Tackle Box. By downloading, installing or using the software, or by buying a license, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the software.

1. The software and the free demo

Tackle Box can be used in a free demo mode with no time limit. Demo mode includes a small set of tools. The other tools are locked until you enter a valid license key.

2. Your license

When you buy a license, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use Tackle Box on the platforms the license covers (Mac, Windows, Linux, or all three) on the computers you personally use. Each license is for one person.

  • A license includes one year of updates, counted from the date you buy it. Updates released during that year are covered.
  • If your license expires, the versions of Tackle Box released during your term keep working with every tool unlocked. Newer versions run in demo mode until you renew or buy a new license.
  • You may use Tackle Box for personal, business and commercial work.

3. What you may not do

  • Share, sell, publish or otherwise distribute your license key, or use someone else's.
  • Copy or redistribute the software, except for sharing the free demo as we provide it.
  • Remove or bypass the license check, or generate license keys.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software, except where the law allows it despite this restriction.
  • Use the software to break the law or to harm others.

4. Ownership

LogicalVue owns the software and the LogicalVue and Tackle Box names. Your license gives you the right to use the software; it does not transfer ownership. You own the content you work with in the software, and we do not claim any rights in it.

5. Third-party software

Tackle Box includes open source components that are provided under their own licenses. Those licenses apply to those components. The components and their license notices are listed in the app: choose About Tackle Box and click "Open Source License Notices".

6. Purchases, taxes and refunds

Orders are processed by our payment partner, which collects payment and any applicable sales tax or VAT at checkout. Prices are shown in US dollars unless the checkout says otherwise. Every purchase is covered by our 30-day refund policy.

7. No warranty

We work hard to make the software dependable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Tools that format, convert, encrypt, hash or generate data are provided as conveniences. Please check results that matter before relying on them, and keep backups of important data.

8. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, LogicalVue is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data or business interruption, arising from your use of the software or the web site. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the license that the claim relates to. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you in full.

9. Ending the license

You may stop using the software at any time. We may end your license if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. If a license is ended, you must stop using the paid features. A refund under our refund policy also ends the license.

10. Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. New terms apply to purchases and downloads made after the change; for an existing license, they apply when you install a version released after the change.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maine, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Maine, except where the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.
